Stanwell's two major generating assets are the 1445 megawatt (MW) coal-fired
Stanwell Power Station located in Central Queensland and the 1400 MW coal-fired
Tarong Power Station north-west of Brisbane.
Located adjacent to Tarong Power Station is the supercritical coal-fired Tarong North Power Station with its 443 MW single unit.
Swanbank B Power Station, located in Ipswich, is a 125 MW coal-fired power station.
Ownership of Swanbank B Power Station and the Collinsville Power Purchase Agreement, and Tarong and Tarong North power stations transferred to Stanwell on 1 July 2011 from CS Energy and Tarong Energy respectively as a result of the Queensland Government-owned generator restructure.
