At Stanwell, we realise there is so much more to do to help reduce domestic and family violence. Over the next 12 to 18 months, we will partner with White Ribbon Australia which is at the forefront of assisting organisations to implement workplace violence prevention, awareness and education initiatives.
Richard Van Breda, our Chief Executive Officer, will chair a working group of people from across the business as we work to attain White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation over the next 12 to 18 months.
The working group will bring together representatives from human resources, organisational development, health and safety, risk, stakeholder engagement, trading and operations and leverage the diverse perspectives of our people and encourage robust conversations. Our aim is to ensure that whatever is proposed is suitable to our people, workplace and communities.
This group will consider what we can do as an organisation to strengthen our practices, procedures and behaviours to promote a safe and respectful workplace. We will engage and train our people to be aware of this societal issue and to know that they are supported if they are a victim, bystander or perpetrator.
