    The Hon. Tim Nicholls MP

    Treasurer and Minister for Trade

    The Honourable Tim Nicholls MP, originally a solicitor, began his political career as a councillor in the Hamilton ward of the Brisbane City Council. In 2006, he was elected as the State Member for Clayfield.

    Prior to the 2012 election, Mr Nicholls held the roles of Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Shadow Treasurer, Shadow Minister for Finance, Shadow Minister for Trade and Shadow Minister for Racing.

    The Hon. Mark McArdle MP

    Minister for Energy and Water Supply

    The Honourable Mark McArdle was the Shadow Minister for Health from April 2008 to February 2012. From July 2008 to April 2009, he was Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Deputy Leader of the Liberal National Party. Prior to the 2012 election, Minister McArdle worked as a solicitor.

    The Honourable Warwick Parer AM was appointed Chairman of the Board of Stanwell Corporation Limited in May 2012.
    
    Warwick has extensive experience in the energy industry. From 1996 to 1998, he was the Federal Minister for Resources and Energy.
    
    From 2001 to 2002, Warwick was the Chairman of the Coalition of Australian Governments Energy Market Review and, from 2002 to 2004, he was the Chair of the Energy and Transport Advisory Sector CSIRO.
    
    Warwick also has experience in the coal industry, having chaired the Australian Coal Exporters Association, the Queensland Coal Mine Management Pty Ltd and Jellinbah Resources.
    
    Warwick has been the Chair of the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Foundation since 2010.
    
  • Paul Breslin

    Paul Breslin is a Director of Stanwell Corporation Limited  and a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee. 

    Paul was the former Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the economic consulting firm ACIL Tasman; and the leader of ACIL Tasman's extensive energy practice. His consultancy work covered the areas of policy analysis, business regulation, competition policy and commercial analysis of markets to inform business decisions, mostly covering the energy and resources industries. His clients included commonwealth and state government agencies, major companies, industry associations and banks.

    Paul is a former Director General of the Queensland Department of Minerals and Energy. During his tenure, Paul managed the separation and corporatisation of the Queensland electricity industry and  played a leading role in the detailed design and development of the Australian National Electricity Market. In 2002 ,he was part of the four member Council of Australian Government's Review into the Australian Energy Markets.

    Kym Collins is a director of Stanwell Corporation Limited and a member of its People and Safety Committee. Kym was Chair of Tarong Energy Corporation Limited (Tarong Energy) for the period March to June 2011 and had been a Director of Tarong Energy since 2005. 

    Kym is also a Director of Green Cross Australia, an international organisation enabling companies and the community to prepare and respond to climatic changes and natural disasters.

    Kym is an experienced electrical engineer and project manager from the commercial construction industry, including having led Siemens Ltd Building Automation in Queensland.

    She has also served as a committee member of the Institute of Hospital Engineers, Little Athletics, St Aidan's Old Girls Association and C&K Kindergartens.

    Kym has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course.
    

  • Ann Fitzpatrick

    Ann Fitzpatrick is a Director of Stanwell Corporation Limited and member of its People and Safety Committee.
    
    Ann has practised as a lawyer for 25 years and for the past two years has been sitting as a Tribunal member, first in the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal and currently in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
    
    For 13 years, Ann was a partner in two major law firms. A partner of McCullough Robertson for ten years, Ann retired from private practice in 2008. Ann's speciality is as an employment, industrial and anti-discrimination lawyer, with a large part of her work at QCAT involving conciliation and determination of building disputes and anti-discrimination matters.
    
    In the first half of her career, Ann practiced as a commercial litigator within intellectual property and construction law.
    
  • Russell Kempnich

    Russell Kempnich has more than 30 years experience in coal resource evaluation, process plant design, construction and commissioning gained both in Australia and internationally. A founding partner and non-executive Chairman of Sedgman Limited, Russell led the organisation's growth from a consulting and engineering firm to a market leader in coal preparation, design and construction. He was also responsible for the expansion of the company's operations internationally.

    Russell commenced his career in 1977 as an engineer with the Australian Coal Industry Research Laboratories where he was responsible for the coal preparation pilot facilities at Maitland, NSW.

  • Stephen Rochester

    Director

    Stephen Rochester is a Director of Stanwell Corporation Limited and member of its Audit and Risk Management Committee. He is a former Director of Tarong Energy Corporation Limited and former Chairman of Queensland Treasury Corporation.
    
    Stephen is an established leader in public sector financing, the banking and finance industry, and the global financial markets, with a career spanning more than 35 years. He has been involved in all aspects of the provision of corporate treasury services to the Queensland public sector, as well as the establishment and operation of domestic and offshore borrowing programs, the development and implementation of liability management strategies, and the provision of infrastructure funding and financial risk management services.
    
    Previously, Stephen was QTC's inaugural Chief Executive and held the position for 22 years.  In 2006, Stephen was seconded to the role of Chief Executive of Sun Retail, Energex's former retail arm. He was appointed Chairman of Powerlink in May 2012.

    Chief Executive Officer

    Richard has been involved in the energy industry since 2001. He originally joined Stanwell Corporation Limited in 2002 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2005. He joined Tarong Energy Corporation Limited in the role of Chief Financial Officer in April 2008 and was appointed in that position at Stanwell in July 2011, after the restructure of the Queensland Government owned electricity generators. Richard was appointed Chief Executive Officer at Stanwell in July 2012.

    Prior to this, Richard was a partner with Deloitte, Zimbabwe and spent three years with Anglo American Zimbabwe, which held a diverse range of mining and manufacturing interests.

  • Tanya Mills

    Tanya Mills

    General Manager Portfolio Trading

    Tanya is responsible for the management of the Energy Trading and Commercial Strategy team within Stanwell. Tanya has more than twelve years of experience in the electricity industry, originally joining Stanwell in 2004 and then Tarong Energy in 2008. Tanya was responsible for managing the marketing and trading team through the restructure of the Queensland Government owned generation companies.

    Prior to joining Stanwell, Tanya led the Electricity Modelling Team within Queensland Treasury.

    Tanya was appointed General Manager Portfolio Trading at Stanwell on 1 July 2011.

  • Wayne Collins

    Wayne Collins

    Chief Operating Officer

    Wayne Collins has worked in the electricity industry for 31 years in a variety of engineering, managerial and business development roles, principally associated with power generation.
     
    Wayne has been a senior executive with Stanwell for 13 years, with previous management roles in business services, asset management and technical services, business development and operations.
    
    In July 2011, Wayne was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Stanwell, responsible for managing the organisation's plant operations, as well as health, safety and environment for the entire business.
    
    Wayne is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC), Capricorn Tourism and Economic Development Limited (CTEDL formerly RRDL) and the Compliance Committee of Capricorn Diversified Investment Fund.
  • Jenny Gregg

    Before commencing with Stanwell in July 2011, Jenny was with Tarong Energy in the role of General Manager People and Communications since September 2008. Prior to this, Jenny worked for more than six years at SunWater, holding the position of Manager Human Resources and Acting General Manager Corporate.

    In a diverse career, Jenny has gained experience in the utilities, human services and health sectors both in line management and within the human resources field. Previous roles include State Manager (Queensland) and National Manager Human Resources for a national provider of professional human services.
    

  • Michael O'Rourke

    Chief Financial Officer

    

    Michael joined Stanwell in 1998 and has held a number of management positions across Stanwell in the areas of legal, marketing and trading, secretariat, corporate communications and land and property management.
    In September 2012, Michael was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer.

    As Stanwell's Chief Financial Officer, Michael is responsible for the internal functions of financial risk and services, business reporting and commercial analysis, secretariat, corporate services, legal, internal audit and supply chain management.

    Prior to this appointment, Michael held the position of Executive General Manager - Governance and Corporate Services.
