Tarong power stations and Meandu Mine were pleased to partner with the hardworking volunteers and families of Cooyar, at their annual trail bike ride fundraiser event in late November.
Each year Cooyar State School welcomes families and trail bike riders from across south east Queensland to their major fundraising event, based at the Cooyar Showgrounds.
More than 1,400 riders came together for the 2018 trail ride, raising a staggering $50,000. These funds will go a long way in supporting Cooyar State School students, with the money to be invested in infrastructure projects, learning opportunities and used to purchase additional educational resources.
With many of our employees and their families living locally in Cooyar and the surrounding South Burnett region, Stanwell is proud to support initiatives like this, which create long-lasting benefits across community.
