Kevin Ramm, the Site Manager of Stanwell’s Kareeya Power Station, near Tully, is leaving the position after four years to take on a senior engineering role in Stanwell’s Brisbane head office.

Mr Ramm said he would miss the wonderful life of Far North Queensland, the excellent work team at Kareeya Power Station and the great local community.

“The quality of life here is second to none and I will miss the people,” he said.

“However, four years is a significant time and I want to pursue other engineering challenges in the Stanwell portfolio of power stations.

“Over the past four years, I am very proud that Kareeya Power Station has been a highly reliable supplier of electricity to Far North Queensland and other parts of the State, and will continue to be so for many years into the future.

“I also am proud that the power station is able to work within the pristine Wet Tropics World Heritage Area with no adverse impacts.”

Rhonda Rowe will be the Acting Site Manager until a new site manager is appointed in the near future.
