Stronger communities start here: Stanwell Power Station’s Social Investment Program

Stanwell Power Station is committed to ensuring that our nearest communities benefit from our presence as neighbours and community members, and that this presence delivers meaningful and lasting benefits to the communities we are part of.

One of the primary ways we put this commitment into action is through our Social Investment Program, which empowers local not-for-profit groups to make a positive difference in the community.

Our Social Investment Program offers a range of ways for local organisations to partner with us to support the outcomes they are working to achieve for their communities.

This support may include sponsorships for community events and initiatives, grants for equipment or facilities, or partnership funding for longer-term projects that create lasting benefits.  communities closest to our assets are a priority for Stanwell Power Station. We are proudly local.

Stanwell Power Station has two Social Investment Programs:

Community Sponsorship Program

Our Community Sponsorship Program helps bring local ideas to life. We support not-for-profits and community groups working on events or initiatives that make our regions more vibrant, resilient, and enjoyable for everyone.

Some examples of community sponsorship program events and projects include:

  • Kalapa Hall & Sports Committee | Annual Horse Sports

  • Stanwell State School | Senior Camp

  • Bouldercombe Progress Association | Starlink

  • Mount Morgan Promotion and Development Inc | Wattle Day Festival

Community Partnership Fund

The Community Partnership Fund has a focus on larger scale and long-term projects that help organisations deliver tangible and long-term benefits, such as facility upgrades or the purchase of essential equipment.

Applications are assessed by a panel including Stanwell and community representatives, ensuring decisions are fair and informed by local perspectives.
