Stanwell has a holistic approach to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and has a focused strategy to ensure every employee both feels included and is encouraged to value diversity of cultures, genders, ages, races and beliefs.
A dedicated team oversees the business-wide implementation of our inclusion and diversity strategy. They are supported in turn by an inclusion and diversity community of practice, and working groups located at each of our sites.
Our current strategy has four areas of focus:
Respect: When working at Stanwell, you should expect and experience a high level of respect, regardless of your background, race or religion. We take action to prevent workplace violence, unlawful discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, vilification, victimisation and bullying from occurring at Stanwell. We are committed to ensuring that our value of "We care" is reflected in everyone’s experiences.
Reconciliation: Stanwell is committed to creating a greater awareness and understanding of the cultures, beliefs and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the Traditional Owners of the lands where we live and work. We have a Reconciliation Action Plan in place to help us to build a culturally-conscious workforce, create appropriate practices across our business and strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

Whether you are just starting out or closing out your career in energy, everyone has a role to play. We track our age diversity to encourage a spread of views.
