Connection, one cup cake at a time! July 2024: A humble cupcake with blue icing was the hallmark feature of End Loneliness Day (ELD) events across Rockhampton. The Stanwell Power Station team took the opportunity to spread the message about End Loneliness Day further than the office by partnering with Meals on Wheels Rockhampton to provide cupcakes to its clients as part of its daily meal delivery. At Stanwell our purpose is to provide the spark for a bright future, and this week the spark was in the form of cupcakes for those most likely to suffer from loneliness. End Loneliness Day was born out of extensive community surveying by CQUniversity’s Kim Harrington, who established the End Loneliness Committee in 2016.
