Careers in a transforming industry
Working in a transforming industry requires the ability to adapt and be resilient through change. We recognise that for many energy industry workers the future looks both uncertain and exciting, and that support is required to ensure the people in this industry can transition to renewables and clean energy jobs as the industry changes.
Stanwell is working with the Queensland government to secure and ensure sustainable jobs through the energy transition. In a world-first, the government has set up a $150 million Job Security Guarantee and Fund for the energy industry. The fund ensures that workers for publicly owned power stations and associated coal mines will have access to new jobs, training and financial assistance in the transition to clean energy generation.
Working for Stanwell's existing coal-fired power stations and Meandu Mine now comes with the security that you will be supported to transition to different roles and explore new career opportunities as we work towards achieving Queensland's renewable energy targets.
