600 workers ignite CQ economy with $50 million Stanwell overhaul

A major overhaul project at Stanwell Power Station will create more than 600 short-term jobs and potentially deliver an injection of $10 million in flow-on economic activity to the Rockhampton region and Capricorn Coast.

Stanwell has been working closely with Queensland Health to develop and implement a COVID-19 safety plan for both the overhaul workforce and Central Queensland community.
