Burnett apprentices get chance in own backyard

AN INCREASING number of women are becoming apprentices and trainees in the South Burnett.

This year, four women will hone their skills at Tarong Power Station alongside three male recruits.

“It’s great to see the increasing number of women join the site, committed to learning new skills, and taking on a demanding role in a traditionally male dominated industry,” Tarong Power Station’s acting site manager Michael Joy said.
