Power up your career with an apprenticeship at Stanwell

Applications are now open for the 2019 apprentice and trainee intake at Tarong Power Station and Meandu Mine, with Stanwell calling on the South Burnett community to take up the chance to join one of the region’s biggest employers.

Stanwell Corporation Limited (Stanwell) and Downer have teamed up to present an information session about the apprenticeships and traineeships.

What: Stanwell and Downer Apprentice and Trainee Information Night
When: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesday 19 September 2018
Where: TAFE Queensland Kingaroy Campus, Corner of Bunya Highway and Geritz Road.

Stanwell’s Tarong Power Station Site Manager Greg McIntyre said the information night would give applicants a genuine insight into what it was like to complete an apprenticeship at Stanwell’s sites.

“We’ll be sharing some real-life examples of the various career pathways available within our business, as well as provide some tips and tricks for the application process,” Mr McIntyre said.

“I encourage anyone to attend, whether you’re fresh out of school, or looking for a career change.

“Our apprentice and trainee opportunities are open to everyone, and we’re really keen to have a mix of males, females, school leavers, mature-age and indigenous apprentices.”

Parents, students, teachers and other applicants are encouraged to attend. Applications from indigenous, mature-aged and female applicants are encouraged across all disciplines offered.
