Hola! Stanwell’s safe work system heads to Barcelona

7 June 2019

It was a vision shared across our business – develop and implement a world class safe work system, designed to further secure the safety of any person who sets foot on a Stanwell site across Queensland.

In 2018 this vision came to life with the implementation of Prometheus Group’s SageSURPASS across our power station assets.

While many of our people contributed to the delivery of this huge parcel of work; Acting Health and Safety Manager Systems and Strategy, Jason Paull was the Operations Project Lead from inception to delivery.

“It was a long and challenging project but the entire project team was highly motivated to ensure we rolled out the best possible system to support the safe delivery of work across our business,” Jason said.

The system has continued to be refined since implementation and has been keenly adopted across the business.

“The SageSURPASS solution enabled us to integrate the key components of safe work planning and the execution of work in to a single process and system.”

Prometheus Group, who became the owners of SageSURPASS after acquiring Sage Technology in 2017, invited Jason to present at its EU Users Conference held in Barcelona last month. The conference was attended by Prometheus Group users from throughout Europe.

Jason’s presentation touched on the process Stanwell undertook during the implementation phase of the safe work system as well as speaking about the future priorities within Stanwell.

“The conference provided a valuable opportunity to share our achievements and learnings in safety at Stanwell,” Jason said.

“I am proud to be a part of an organisation, which is recognised globally as leader in safe work systems.”
