Stanwell is proud to be one of the founding members of the Energy Charter which was launched in Sydney on Thursday 31 January 2019.
In a world-first initiative, businesses from across Australia’s energy supply chain have developed a consumer charter to progress the culture and solutions required to deliver electricity in-line with community expectations.
The Energy Charter is focused on embedding customer-centric culture and conduct in energy businesses to create real improvements in price and service delivery.
Stanwell Chief Executive Officer, Richard Van Breda, said it was essential energy businesses worked with customers to better understand and respond to challenges being experienced in the industry.
“At Stanwell, we honestly believe that together we can create energy solutions,” Mr Van Breda said.
“Participating in the Energy Charter presents an excellent opportunity to create trust and ensure there’s transparency in the way the energy industry works.”
The Energy Charter aims to deliver on its commitment to customers through the following five principles:
Principle one: We will put customers at the centre of our business and the energy system.
Principle two: We will improve energy affordability for customers.
Principle three: We will provide energy, safety, sustainability and reliability.
Principle four: We will improve the customer experience.
Principle five: We will support customers facing vulnerable circumstances.
