Principal Analyst Markets and Commercial, Lyn Parfitt-Brown recently celebrated an incredible milestone, reaching 25 years in the energy industry.
Lyn reflects on what this milestone means to her, how things have changed and some of her career highlights so far.
What does it mean to you to celebrate 25 years in the energy industry?
It honestly doesn’t feel like it’s a milestone, because I genuinely enjoy coming into work each day.
It feels like yesterday that I started and I am proud of the fact I’m to able work on such interesting and challenging projects, with a team of really intelligent and lovely people.
What are some of the biggest changes you have noticed during the course of your career?
During this time, the most noticeable change I’ve seen is the cultural shift when it comes to women in the workplace.
It is a much different environment now compared to 25 years ago. As the culture has changed, people have been given an equal opportunity to develop themselves and their careers.
Can you share any career highlights with us?
The main highlight for me is the people I work with.
There are so many incredibly intelligent people in this industry and within Stanwell, and usually they’re willing to share that knowledge to help grow the business and those around them.
