We recently welcomed the next generation of apprentices and trainees to our Stanwell team.
Fourteen apprentices and trainees this week took their first steps towards bright careers within the energy industry, at Stanwell Power Station, Tarong power stations.
With a history of providing the best resources available for people to progress their careers, Stanwell is proud to welcome them and introduce the group to a learning-ground full of opportunities.
Stanwell Power Station’s apprenticeship and traineeship program has been helping to generate skills in the region for approximately 20 years. Tarong power stations have been developing its people and providing a learning ground to grow and be able to make the most of the opportunities and experiences provided for more than 34 years.

Stanwell’s apprenticeship and traineeship programs provide structured opportunities for participants to develop their skills in line with industry training standards.
We provide opportunities for our apprentices and trainees in areas such as business, electrical instrumentation, boiler making and mechanical trades, warehousing operations and laboratory techniques.
Each trainee and apprentice is assigned a mentor to guide them through their training, having the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s most experienced and knowledgeable people.
Dependent on their discipline, apprentices and trainees may have the opportunity to access a number of internal and external rotations to maximise their practical experience, including plant overhauls.
Stanwell is proud to power Queensland’s newest members of the workforce and provide people with every opportunity to develop and grow their skills.
