Find out how we are keeping our communities safe while we undertake our overhaul at Stanwell Power Station.

To ensure Stanwell maintains the required level of energy reliability to support Queensland’s system security requirements, Stanwell Power Station, near Rockhampton, will undertake an overhaul of its Unit 2 generator from 5 July to 5 September 2020.

Overhaul maintenance work is a statutory requirement with dates coordinated through Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).

The 62-day program of work on Stanwell Power Station’s Unit 2 overhaul will include 14,000 work activities and create 600 short-term employment opportunities.

Stanwell is committed to ensuring the safety of our people, their families and the communities in which we operate. We are working closely with Queensland Health to develop and implement a COVID-19 safety plan.
