Kareeya Hydro Power Station has been providing electricity to Queenslanders since 1957, and will be providing the water-power for the 2019 World Rafting Championships!
Kareeya Hydro uses the energy of moving water to drive its four generators, after which the water is returned to the Tully River in the same pristine condition it entered the power station. Check out the video here to learn more about Kareeya Hydro Power Station.
