Applications open for 2020 Apprentice and Trainee Program at Stanwell Power Station

5 August 2019

Stanwell Power Station will open applications for its 2020 Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program from 12 August 2019, and is hosting an information session for anyone interested in applying.

Stanwell Power Station Acting Site Manager Peter Woodall said Stanwell Power Station would take on four new apprentices and one trainee in 2020.

“Stanwell’s Apprentice and Trainee Program provides the opportunity to gain a lifelong qualification while building a fulfilling career in the energy industry,” Mr Woodall said.

“The information night is a great opportunity to gain an insight into how our recruitment and selection process works and ask questions about what life at Stanwell Power Station is like.”

Cody Krafft was one of the successful applicants in Stanwell’s 2019 intake and has already gained valuable experience in his short time at Stanwell as a first year Electrical Instrumentation Apprentice.

“Being part of an experienced team who are experts in their trade has been a huge benefit for me,” Cody said.

“It’s important to Stanwell that their apprentices and trainees are highly skilled, so everyone takes the time to teach you how to do a job properly.”
The information session is being held at The Rockhampton Leagues Club from 5:15 pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, 14 August 2019.

For information, contact Kaila Sutherland 07 3335 7298.

There will be opportunities to talk to the group training organisation, Central Queensland Apprentices and Trainees (CQAT) as well as Stanwell representatives, including current and past apprentices, the People and Culture Team and members of the management team.
